11/27/07 - Discraft has just announced the following;
Thanks again for making this year's Ace Race the biggest ever! 176 events were held throughout North America and Europe. Based on overwhelming player enthusiasm for the 2007 prototype, Discraft is happy to announce that the disc has been approved for tournament use by the PDGA. Renamed the Impact, the disc joins the line of Discraft long range drivers, with a stability rating of 0.0. Your Ace Race proto version is also now tournament legal.
